Summer-Fall Photography Days at Hollywild
9 AM to 5 PM – June 19, July 17, August 14, September 11, and October 9

Hollywild Animal Park is pleased to announce its 2010 Summer Amateur Photography Days. Photographers wishing to hone their skills will be welcomed to Park with a special program created for amateur shutterbugs! The program begins with a 30-minute workshop led by a professional photographer designed to give you tips for getting your best outdoor shots of fun and fascinating subjects – the amazing animals who call Hollywild home. At check-in, participants will receive their schedule for the morning visits to photo stations set up especially for an up-close photo op with our birds, babies, and ‘spotlight’ animal. Five summer sessions are offered with a different ‘spotlight’ animal featured at each.

Cost: $50 per session or a “5 for 4” discount when preregistering for all five sessions at once.

• June 19th Spotlight on Emus:
These beautiful birds are also great dads, sharing the ‘mother load’ of parenting the young from sitting on the eggs to teaching the youngsters. In June their feathers look beautiful. (for more information about emus, visit the Animal Facts section of our website.

• July 17th Spotlight on the baby Tiger (10 weeks old): Be among the first to visit with our new baby tiger.

• August 14th Spotlight on Tank the Rhino: The only ‘working’ rhino in the US, Tank is a real superstar and loves to have his picture taken. You’ll head behind the regular safari to get views of Tank regular park guests are not able to access.

• September 11th Spotlight on Safari: take your car on safari to get up close and personal with the llamas, Watusi (including our rare black Watusi, Jordan), Emu, fallow deer, Sika Deer, Zebra, buffalo, Scottish Highlanders and other hoofstock like our giant Holsteins.

• October 9th Spotlight on baby Tiger (22 weeks old): Watch our baby grow – the baby Tiger is now more than 5 months old and will have changed greatly from July’s session!

Preregistration is required. Formsand more information can be downloaded here.
